Congratulations Fr Adam, laborer for the harvest!
Congratulations to our long-time friend & supporter, Fr. Adam Ahern, on his priesthood ordination! You can read his compelling story here: http://archindy.org/criterion/local/2015/05-29/ahern.html He was ordained as a priest on Saturday, June 6 along with his classmates Michael Keucher & Andrew Syberg.
As a seminarian, Fr Adam visited God’s Country many times. As Deacon Adam, he presided at our very first “Third Thursday Holy Hour” at St. John the Apostle Parish in Bloomington, IN on May 21. Dcn Adam is on the left & Fr Daniel Mahan, pastor of St John, is on the right.
Then right after Adam’s ordination as a priest, Dr. Mark asked him for his first priestly blessing upon all of you and our apostolate. As an apostolate in the Archdiocese, we were grateful to celebrate with our Particular Church this amazing day.
The photo is fuzzy but you can see all three priests-to-be right before Archbishop Joseph Tobin, C.Ss.R. laid his hands on them and conferred upon them the sacrament of holy orders.
At the ordination, Dr Mark also saw Fr. Shayne Duvall and Fr. Peter Bucalo, newly ordained priests of the Archdiocese of Louisville. Along with Fr. Syberg, these three men were part of the last class that he taught at Saint Meinrad Seminary. What an honor to see students courageously answer their calls from God!
